I wanted a local company (Pasadena). The business manager, Griselda, was efficient and professional. Safety was a big concern. Current license, fully insured, bonded, and current workers' compensation coverage. I wanted the tree down with low risk to my house and low risk to their company personnel.
I was able to schedule it within a week. A team of three, led by Jose, took the tree down in pieces with ropes in about two hours. They cut all the logs to about 15 inches and stacked them nicely. I wanted to keep the wood for splitting.

We requested the removal of a sick tree and a tree hanging over our roof. We called them for a quote, and Griselda and her husband came by the same day in the afternoon. Their quote was reasonable and very similar to other companies, but we liked their fast response and especially since they came by the same day at 6 p.m. to check things out! Anticipating the upcoming storm (Hilary on August 20/21, 2023), we asked them to remove the trees the next day. Again, they were very responsive, and I was positively surprised that they agreed to remove the tries the next day on short notice!
They came after another job at 5 p.m. (as agreed on), and they got their job done right after sunset (~8 p.m.). Overall, we are very happy with this company. Griselda is very responsive. The workers are insured, professional, and fast. They cleaned up well after the job was done. The quote for this job seemed reasonable, similar to other tree removal companies. I would definitely recommend them.
I cannot say enough positive things about Griselda, her husband Jose, and their crew. This is a family business, run by a very intelligent and thoughtful woman who is constantly learning and getting more certifications so that she can serve her clients better each day. I have a lot of personal respect for Griselda, and I genuinely enjoyed working with her because she was not only courteous, professional, and had great ideas, but she was also kind, considerate, and easy to work with.
